Personal Training
Build Strength. Improve Performance. Stay Ready.
Oak City Personal Training is designed for active adults, athletes, and former physical therapy patients who want more than a generic gym routine. Our training is individualized, goal-driven, and built around improving strength, movement quality, conditioning, and long-term durability.
Who It's For
Training Built Around Your Goals
Whether you are returning to exercise after rehab, preparing for a sport, or simply looking for a smarter way to train, we build the plan around where you are now and where you want to go.
Return to Fitness
Bridge the gap between rehabilitation and full participation in the gym, sport, or activities you enjoy.
Strength & Performance
Build strength, power, work capacity, and confidence with progressive training that evolves as you improve.
Sport & Recreation
Prepare for running, tennis, golf, lifting, recreational sports, and the physical demands that matter most to you.
Healthy Aging
Improve strength, balance, mobility, and confidence so you can keep doing more of what you enjoy.
How It Works
More Than a Generic Workout
Your training plan should reflect your goals, experience, and current abilities—not a one-size-fits-all template.
Initial Training Assessment
We review your goals, training history, movement, strength, experience, and any current limitations that may affect your program.
Individualized Programming
Your plan is built around your goals, schedule, equipment, training experience, and the physical qualities you want to improve.
Progressive Coaching
Training progresses as you get stronger, more capable, and more confident, with adjustments made along the way.
Training Options
Choose the Level of Coaching That Fits You
Whether you want hands-on coaching, individualized remote programming, or a structured plan to follow independently, choose the level of support that best fits your goals, schedule, and training style.

Two Ways to Train Remotely.
Choose individualized virtual coaching if you want a program built specifically for you with weekly accountability, or choose the monthly structured program if you prefer to train independently with a clear plan and exercise demonstrations.

Frequently Asked Questions
Personal Training FAQs
Do I need to be a former Oak City PT patient?
No. Performance training is available to people who have completed physical therapy as well as individuals who simply want structured, individualized fitness and performance coaching.
Do I need to be completely pain-free?
Not necessarily. However, if your primary concern is pain, injury, or a medical condition that requires clinical evaluation, physical therapy may be the more appropriate starting point.
Is personal training covered by insurance?
Personal training, virtual coaching, and training memberships are private-pay fitness services and are separate from physical therapy insurance benefits.
What is included with virtual coaching?
Virtual coaching includes a highly individualized 3–4 day per week training plan based on your goals, schedule, available equipment, and experience, along with weekly check-ins and ongoing program adjustments.
What is the difference between virtual coaching and the monthly training program?
Virtual coaching is individualized and includes weekly access to your coach for check-ins and program adjustments. The monthly training program is a structured self-guided plan that includes exercise demonstration videos but does not include individualized coaching or weekly check-ins.
Can I use the monthly program remotely?
Yes. The monthly training program is designed to be followed independently wherever you train, provided you have access to the equipment used in that month's program.
What equipment will I need?
Equipment needs will depend on the specific program. We will make equipment expectations clear so you can determine whether a program fits your available gym or home setup.
Can I transition from physical therapy into training?
Yes. One of the goals of Oak City Personal Training is to create a smoother transition from rehabilitation into long-term strength, fitness, and higher-level activity.
